About
日本マラウイ学生団体は、2015年度に発足して今年で7年目となる筑波大学公認の学生団体です。
「日本とマラウイの架け橋となる学生団体」
この理念を元に、アフリカのマラウイ共和国に焦点を当てています。
皆さんは「アフリカ」と聞いて何が浮かびますか？
私たちの活動により、少しでも多くの人たちが持つアフリカや途上国に対するイメージが豊かになることを願って、現在30名がそれぞれのプロジェクトに精一杯取り組んでいます。
例年、国外活動としてマラウイ共和国への渡航、国内活動として渡航報告会・講演会の開催や学会への参加、SNSによる発信、他のNPOや学生団体・地域団体の方々とコラボするなどして活動を行なっています。
現在は、新型コロナウイルスによって渡航活動はできませんが、オンライン上でミーティングやイベントを実施しています。
【マラウイ共和国への渡航】
毎年大学の夏季休業期間に2~3週間、マラウイ共和国へ渡航しています。現地の青年団体と運動会を企画したり、インタビューを実施したりするなどし、お互いの価値観の共有ができ双方に得るものがあるようなプロジェクトを実施しています。この渡航での経験を、日本国内での活動に活かしています。
【渡航報告会】
大学内や筑波大学サテライトオフィスで、渡航報告会を開催しています。渡航活動のビデオの上映なども行い、学生や市民の皆様に、私たちが見たありのままのマラウイの姿や感じた気付きを発信しています。
【講演会】
団員の母校で、講演会を実施しています。中学生や高校生に、この講演会を通して、アフリカやマラウイについて知ってもらい、視野を広くするきっかけや新たなことに興味を持ってもらうチャンスにしてもらえたらという想いで実施しています。
【学会等への参加・発表】
より私たちの団体を知ってもらい活動を広げるため、発表する機会などをいただき、学会に積極的に参加しています。
一昨年度は3月に国際ボランティア学会に参加し、発表の場をいただきました。
【他団体との交流】
筑波大学・他大学の国際系学生団体と交流イベントや勉強会を実施しています。
それぞれが焦点を当てている国についてプレゼンを行ったり、トピックを設けてディスカッションをしたりしています。
【国際組織で働く方による講演会】
UNICEFやJICAの職員としてアフリカやマラウイで活動されている方をお招きして、講演をいただいています。
【アフリカ人留学生との交流イベント】
アフリカ人留学生の方にご協力をいただき、オンライン上で交流イベントを企画しています。
お互いの文化や考え方についてプレゼンやディスカッションを行います。
【SNSによる発信】
FacebookやTwitter、Instagram、Webを利用し、日頃の活動などを発信しています。
団体のことだけでなく、アフリカに関するニュースやマラウイに関する面白い記事など、多くの人が興味が湧く情報の発信も行なっています。
We are the student body recognized by University of Tsukuba, established in 2015.
“The Team as a bridge between Japan and Malawi”
We focus on Malawi in Africa based on this goal.
What does “Africa” remind you of ?
Currently each one of our 15 members are working on different projects with our best efforts and striving to promote people understanding about Africa and developing nations.
Every year, we visit Malawi. We hold report sessions and lecture meetings, participate in academic meetings and offer information in Japan. We also collaborate on some projects with other NPO, youth organizations or regional organizations.
[Visiting Malawi]
We visit Malawi for about 2 or 3 weeks in a summer vacation of our university every year.
We held UNDOKAI with a youth organization in Malawi and interviewed a lot of people there. These activities were done to share values and what is something special for between Japan and Malawi each other.
And we also make use of our experiences in this visiting for projects in Japan.
[Report Sessions]
We hold report sessions after visiting at University of Tsukuba or the satellite office of the university. We show videos we took in Malawi, and we convey the true Malawi and our awareness to students and citizens.
[Lecture Meetings]
We hold some lecture meetings at schools where members graduated from. Through these lectures, we aim that not only junior and high school students just know about Malawi and Africa, but also they expand their perspectives. We believe that it is a good chance for them to meet something new.
[Participating in and presenting at academic meetings]
We participate in academic meetings initiatively tointroduce about us and our activities.
Last year, we participated in “The International society of Volunteer Studies in Japan” in March and presented about ourselves, and spoke aboutour activities.
[Offering information]
We offer some information by using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Web site.
Of course we post not only ourselves but some interesting news about Malawi and Africa.
